Everyone has seen pictures of Bus Eater. But have you ever wondered what else the Ottawa has to ofter on high water? While New River Academy was training on the Ottawa we never got on buseater at a prime level. But we were able to find other features on the river. Above coach Tino Specht surfs a small glassy fun wave, found at the top of the garberator rapid around 20ft.

Above, Tino carves it up. Dont be mislead by its smaller size, this wave is a blast.
Below will show that McCoys rapid also tossed us a surprise. At the top of the rapid where a large hole if found. Still upstream of phils hole, is a very nice wave. glassy, fast, steep, foamy. besides the short hike, this wave is perfect for training big water.

Sven, shows his skills, from Germany, kayaking all over Europe. Sven lives on the Ottawa every summer due to its great playboating. It all showed sticking a pistol flip in this shot.

Eli surfin it up.

Tino demonstrating that many moves can be thrown on this wave. Pan-ams, clean blunts, pistol -flips, KY's, Bread and butters, all the wave moves. Below shows the lineup for the wave.

Clean!

Goin for the huck
