Corner wave

Sam Fulbright surfing Corner wave

Corner wave is extremely fast and steep. making it perfect for blunts, spins, clean spins, grinds, air screws, pan-ams, back blunts, and any mystery move you want to try. It is located on the Ottawa river in mcoys rapid after phils hole on the river right. The wave has eddy access but you have to be careful about flushing downstream into a large hole called horseshoe. Horseshoe has a toung in the middle so its easy to get through, and the river left side id good to go for surfing, but the river right side might throw you around for a little while.

New River Academy students watch as Morgan Tidd surfs Garb

Garb is a perfect training spot due to the river long eddy that runs with it. This means you can continuously paddle on the wave for as long as you would like without getting out of your boat.

Daniel Stewart throws a huge righty blunt on Garb

As pictures both up and down demonstrate garb offers perfect shoulders to throw blunts off off. These shoulders can also be used to set up on the top of the foam pile.

Ottawa Ramp

Today we had our first true session on the Ottawa ramp at the keener's place. The ramp consist of a large ramp built out of wood with a kicker at the bottom of it. Plastic fencing is added to increase sliding speeds. To hit the ramp you get in your boat at the top of the ramp on a flat platform and push yourself off. When you hit the kicker you have many options on what you can do. We were mainly trying airscrews, blunts, panams, And anything else we could huck. Then you simply land in the water. The landings are pretty soft. the one thing you want to watch out for is landing flat, for that will hurt your back.

Longboarding in West Newbury

Adam Dembowski and Brian Boyle
Looking for a new rush? Well All you need is some wheels and a hill.
Adam and I went out today in search for an epic hill to ride,
the pictures will tell the rest of the story,

Brian Boyle long boarding in West Newbury

We found a perfect hill to ride. It was long, steep, fast, quiet, and it had a great runout to slow down. We used my jeep to shuttle runs up the hill, and wee took turns taking pictures of our runs.
